Attachment, Developmental, and Therapeutic
Parenting
Traditional parenting
does not work for children who have been abused, neglected, or moved
multiple times. This 18-hour class helps parents build awareness, understanding,
and application of techniques that help heal these special children.
The Sexualized Child in Foster Care
Children who have been sexually abused or who are sexually abusing others
require special care. This 8-hour class teaches normal sexual development
and how to apply household management and parenting techniques to protect
the child and family.
PTSD: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
in Children
Abused and neglected children often display many of the symptoms of
PTSD even if they do not have the diagnosis. This 2-hour class teaches
parents how to recognize those symptoms and help children manage and
heal the feelings and behaviors.
